A Modern Creation Myth was titled after completion. It is not a narrative piece, but rather an image of vibrant, abstract and elemental forms, combined with its ethereal color transitions. When finished, the overall composition struck me as an expression evocative of creation myths.
Points of note include translucent washes, opaque layers, how the overlaid lines suggest the passage of time, and the gradual shifting from formlessness to structure. In addition, the geometric forms, particularly the hovering spheres and intersecting arcs, seem to echo scientific diagrams of planetary birth and the universe’s origins.
